In an effort to assist our patient and families without dental coverage and enable all to receive quality dental care at a reduced rate, the team at S Dental & Specialties has created the Smiles Savings Plans in Rochelle Park, New Jersey. Each plan enables our patients to receive the following:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is this “Smile Savings Plan”? Is it an insurance plan?

Smile Savings Plan is not dental or medical insurance, but rather a dental care membership program that guarantees you a specific number of preventive services as well as a significant discount on all dental procedures, including restorative and cosmetic services. There is nothing to submit and no pre-approval forms to be filled out, and you are eligible at any time to sign up.

Patients can use the membership plans as a supplement to their dental insurance, however, S Dental & Specialties is not responsible for coordinating use of the dental insurance with the Smile Savings Plan.

When can I join and start using the benefits?

Smile Savings Plan enrollment is open at all times. You can join the plan and start enjoying the benefits the same day you sign up. The agreement begins on the day you sign up and is in effect for one (1) year from the date of agreement.

Can I use the benefits for restorative, cosmetic and elective treatment?

Yes! One of the best benefits of the Smile Savings Plan is the discount members receive towards restorative, cosmetic and elective services. That is 15% off of our fees! There is no maximum to how much you can use this discount.

The membership program discount may not be combined with other offers, promotions or discounts, nor can it be applied to contracted or negotiated rates with insurance plans.

Can I transfer my membership to a different office?

Smile Savings Plan memberships are unique to our office and cannot be transferred to another dental office. This is a plan created by S Dental & Specialties to help our loyal patients without insurance.

What if I miss one of my hygiene appointments?

We do require 48 hour cancellation notice in order to honor one of your Smile Savings Plan hygiene appointments. If you do not show up for an appointment or cancel within 48 hours, the appointment will be forfeited.

The patient is solely responsible for scheduling and keeping hygiene, prophylaxis and other appointments offered in their membership plan. No refunds will be given for unused hygiene or other appointments during the membership term, and benefits cannot be carried over into a new term.

How do I cancel my membership?

Smile Savings Plan memberships are annual memberships that end 12 months from signing up. There is a two week period after signing up in which you change your mind and cancel if you have not utilized any benefits from your Smile Savings Plan membership yet. In these cases only are refunds is available. If you wish to cancel and not renew the following year, you can submit a cancellation letter or email up to 60 days prior to your renewal date. However, we will not auto renew your membership. Each year, you will have the ability to purchase the membership when you arrive.

Can I split the membership benefits between different family members?

The Smile Savings Plan membership benefits cannot be split up. Memberships are specific to each individual patient.

How do I know which program option is best for me?

Dr. Schepis or our hygienist can recommend which program will best fit your dental health needs.
